Doctors

  • DR KATY TURTON

    I qualified from Leeds University School of Medicine in 1994 and completed my GP training in hospitals and practices around the Yorkshire region. I joined the practice in August 1998 as a three quarter time partner and now work four sessions a week. My medical interests include women's, teenage and children's issues. Dr Turton is usually available on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • DR KATE LANGRIDGE

    I completed my medical degree in Leicester and graduated in 1999. I have worked in hospital medicine for several years and obtained my MRCGP before finally training as a GP in the York region. I have been a partner at Tadcaster since 2005. Dr Langridge usually sees patients on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

  • DR ALISON PITT

    I qualified in 1997 from University College London. I initially trained in paediatrics in London, Oxford and Bristol before training as a GP in York. I have been a partner at Tadcaster since 2005. Dr Pitt is not usually available to see patients on a Monday.

  • DR JAMES REYNOLDS

    Dr Reynolds joined us as a Salaried GP in September 2014 and became a partner in 2016. He is not usually available on a Tuesday.

  • DR RICHARD MOSS

    Dr Moss was previously a partner in Portree and more recently a Salaried GP in Leeds.

  • DR JAMES PERRY

    Dr Perry has joined us as a GP Partner working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I'm from Chelmsford in Essex. My wife, Amy, and I have a 1 year old daughter, Lily and also a Labrador, Maggie. We’re moving to North Yorkshire to be closer to my wife’s family. I trained at Liverpool medical school, before moving to London and then back to Essex. I then completed GP training in 2023.

  • DR INDERVEER MANDER

    Dr Mander will be working with us on a Wednesday afternoon.

  • DR MATTHEW MORRELL

    Dr Morrell is a GP Registrar and will be working in Tadcaster from February to August 2026

The admin team deal with referrals, incoming post (both paper and electronic), insurance reports and private medicals.

Nurse Practitioners

Rachel is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber. She manages some of the acute care at the practice as well as doing chronic disease management.

    Sophie joined the team in December 2025. She has worked as an ACP at a York practice and trained as a Paramedic initially.

Nurses

Emma, Katie and Gwen are available at varying times throughout the week offering nursing skills for dressings, chronic disease management and lifestyle advice. They all offer smear tests and contraception advice too. All the nurses offer NHS vaccinations for both children and adults. You may find that your care is shared within the team. You can book an appointment with a nurse in the usual way at reception.

Healthcare Assistants

Jayne performs ECGs, blood pressure checks, B12 injections, simple wound care, dopplers and some adult vaccinations.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
