Patients' information
The Medical Centre is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 12.15pm on a Saturday although the dispensary closes from 12.30 to 1.30 each day.
ON A SATURDAY MORNING WE OFFER PRE BOOKED ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS WITH AN UNNAMED GP. IF YOU NEED EMERGENCY TREATMENT PLEASE CONTACT THE OOH DOCTOR ON 0845 056 8060.
There is ample free parking in the car park opposite the surgery and Tadcaster Bus Station is directly outside the building.
We accept patients from Tadcaster and the surrounding villages including Appleton Roebuck, Barkston Ash, Church Fenton and Ulleskelf. Please contact reception for full details.
Unfortunately we cannot accept new registrations from patients in Aberford, Acaster Selby, Bishopthorpe, Collingham, Copmanthorpe, Hutton Wandesley, Linton, Long Marston, Micklefield, Rufforth, Ryther, Sherburn in Elmet, South Milford, Tockwith or Wetherby. Patients currently on our list who move to these locations will also have to register with a more local GP.

This service is only for patients who fulfil specific medical critera, if you are unsure please ask at reception for details.
Your Information
We will only ever use or pass on information about you if others involved in your care have a genuine need for it. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your permission unless there are exceptional circumstances, such as when the health and safety of others is at risk or where the law requires information to be passed on.

From the age of 16 all patients are deemed adults. What this means is we cannot discuss any aspect of your childs medical record with you without their consent (e.g. appointments, prescriptions, test results) after their sixteenth birthday. This is a legal requirement under the Data Protection Act. If you have any questions please contact the Information Commisioner's Office who have a helpline on 0303 123 1113 or look at their website www.ico.gov.uk.
Zero Tolerance
We operate the NHS Zero Tolerance policy. Any patient who is violent or abusive to staff or other patients whilst on the premises will be asked to leave the building and may be removed from our list.
Local NHS
Our local Primary Care Trust is North Yorkshire & York PCT. Their headquarters are at The Hamlet, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. HG2 8RE (01423 815150).
The Patient Advice and Liason Service (PALS) can help you with queries regarding patient's rights and NHS services. They can be contacted on 0800 06 88 000.
Compliments, Complaints or Suggestions
As a team we work hard to offer our patients the best possible service but we are aware that there are always areas where we can improve.
If you have any feedback for the practice (positive or negative) please send it to the practice 'For the Attention of the Practice Manager'.
Unresolved complaints can be forwarded to the Complaints Officer at the Primary Care Trust (see above for details).
Patient Participation Group
We also have a Patient Participation Group made of of a group of our patients and two of the GP partners.
